Well it’s that time of year again and 2010 has seen some immense games roll around – as well as continued support via DLC for some of 2009 biggest titles.

I spent months at the back end of last year and early this year moaning that there is nothing good on TV anymore. Well that changed (thankfully) as 2010 went on and I spent the year with loads of great shows to watch.
Monsters was a fantastic small budget film. Shot for about £250k it’s a love story set against the backdrop of an alien invasion – it’s not as stupid as it sounds.
So to kick off the awards season here are ten books, in no particular order, I’d recommend that I read this year…
Last years Call Of Duty game was a bit of a fun mess with regards to the single player campaign but early reviews of Black Ops seemed to indicate that Treyarch had tightened up the story in the latest instalment. So is Black Ops a better gaming experience?
Onslaught is great to play with like minded friends and communication will be key. As long as one of you is left alive the others can respawn on them so tactics do come into play if you find yourself as the ‘Last Man Standing.’
